90,000 SQ FT FACTORY ACQUISITION FOR LEADING PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURER & DISTRIBUTOR
In November 2014, Swadlincote-headquartered Brunel Healthcare Manufacturing Limited, the UK market leader in manufacturing private label supplements, officially opened their new 90,000 sq ft licensed packaging, warehouse and manufacturing facility on William Nadin Way in the town, heralding an important milestone in the company’s growth.
Tim Harries & Partners were retained by the company to advise on their operational property objectives which culminated in the identification of the building, within 1/2 mile of the company’s existing headquarters, and its subsequent acquisition on a freehold basis from receivers.
The price paid for the freehold building is confidential, but significantly less that the equivalent build cost of the property, and the deal provides welcome evidence of the resilience of the manufacturing sector in the Midlands and a further indication of the recovery in the region’s industrial and logistics property sector which has triggered the first proposals for larger scale speculative development since 2008.
