Alongside the firm’s ongoing asset management services to one of our existing investor clients in the insurance sector, Tim Harries & Partners are also performing an expanding role in advising their client on occupational issues arising from their rapid expansion in the UK and the consequent need to upsize and or relocate their regional offices.
A recent example of this followed the relocation of the client’s Manchester business to larger premises. The client consulted Tim Harries & Partners when faced with a significant claim for dilapidations from their former landlord. Through a combination of thorough due diligence identifying and interpreting relevant documents, investigation to reveal the landlord’s likely intentions for the building, and subsequent strong negotiation, the claim was ultimately settled at a fraction of the original figure.
